Thoughtful Ways to Include Loved Ones in Your Wedding Ceremony

Thoughtful Ways to Include Loved Ones in Your Wedding Ceremony
Your wedding day is fast approaching, and the tasks are piling up!
Rather than trying to take on everything yourself or asking those already involved in your wedding, think of these jobs as a way to honor loved ones that do not have a role in your ceremony.
Read on for five thoughtful ways to include others in your special day...

Ushering.
This is an excellent opportunity to give your favorite uncle or your entertaining childhood friend a chance to make everyone feel welcome and get guests safely and comfortably to their seats.

Witnessing your important documents.
Do you have a decorative or ceremonial wedding certificate or ketuba (if you're having a Jewish wedding) that will require signatures?
Ask two or three loved ones to witness it. They will be thrilled, and you will have a memory you can treasure in the years to come.

Doing a reading or singing a song.
Many couples add poems, stories, spiritual texts, or other readings into their ceremonies.
Give others a chance to show how much they care about you by asking them to read a passage.
If you have a particularly musical person in your life, invite them to sing a special song during your ceremony.

Setting the Stage
Your ceremony and reception venues will need preparation to make things look just right.
Asked loved ones who have a great eye for design to help set out place cards, arrange favors on tables, and get everything ready for your guests' arrival.
Putting this into the hands of those you trust will also lower your stress level and allow you to focus on getting yourself ready for your big day.

Holding your train.
You have probably thought about who your flower girls will be and who will be walking you down the aisle.
Consider hiving a child, a dear friend, or a relative the honor of holding your train and keeping you moving effortlessly as you make your entrance.

Offering others an opportunity to participate in your important day makes it one both they and you will remember fondly through the years.
